Headaches
Symptoms of migraine can include a moderate to severe headache lasting from 4 to 72 hours, throbbing pain, nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and/or sound. There is no medical test to diagnose migraine, but a detailed history taken by the physician will help in preparing a treatment plan including the appropriate use of medication.
Some patients will require lifestyle modifications and medications to abort headaches, while others will require daily medication for prevention. Preventive treatment may also include the use of Botox or supra-orbital transcranial stimulation. All physicians at Lawrenceville Neurology Center are experts at the diagnosis and treatment of headaches.
